Large family car?[edit]

If you look at the curb weight figure AND the exterior dimensions, those clearly slot the ID.7 in the league of the new (Mercedes) W214 E-Class, (BMW) G60 5 Series, and likely the upcoming (Audi) C9 A6. This means that by European standards, the ID.7 would be classified as an Executive car, with a capital E because it will still obviously be marketed in the mass-market mid-size segment in the United States. But it's certainly a much larger car than Tesla's Model 3 (and just a slight bit smaller than the Model S).

This website states "upper midsize" which indicates E-segment (midsize is D-segment): https://electrek.co/2023/04/12/vw-id-7-flagship-electric-sedan-full-specs-images-leaked/

This one does say D-segment: https://www.autocarpro.in/news-international/volkswagen-showcases-camouflaged-id-7-at-ces-2023-113741

One of its competitors, however, is referred to as E-segment: https://vrumcar.com/news/byd-han-2023-why-wait-any-longer-for-the-volkswagen-id-7/5823/

I'd like to hear from the Wikipedia crew! (EDIT: The German Wikipedia website refers to it as "Obere Mittleklasse." This means E-segment.)
