Splitting proposal[edit]

The result of this discussion was to wait until a facelifted Tharu is released.

I propose that the sections Volkswagen Taos#North America and Volkswagen Taos#South America be moved into a different page called Volkswagen Taos while this current page is moved to Volkswagen Tharu. I propose this because the Taos and Tharu are just as different as them and the Jetta VS5 and Seat Ateca, because they are made in different plants, have two different names, and have multiple styling differences. The only thing in common, despite being based on the Ateca, is the Volkswagen branding.

Wait. I think we should wait until a facelifted Tharu is released. Though this is entirely a speculation, I would say there is a good chance that the Tharu may get the Taos styling one day. That way, both would be the exact same model with different name. When that happens, let's continue the discussion and decide.
After all, the Taos and Tharu shares every single sheet metal, the differences are in plastics and they share the same interior apart from few minor changes. That is not the case with SEAT Ateca, Skoda Karoq and Jetta VS5. These are the reasons why I merged Taos and Tharu. Andra Febrian (talk) 15:45, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
