Title change[edit]

The title of this article should be changed to 'Vulnicura Strings (The Acoustic Versions - Strings, Voice And Viola Organista Only) as mentioned on the respective album sticker (see Discogs).

The current title was only used for promo editions of the album. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.194.107.69 (talk) 09:30, 11 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder if the article should be moved to simply Vulnicura Strings (common name). ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:13, 15 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I believe the title includes the word "Version", not "Versions", as seen in the lead and infobox. These should be corrected, right? ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:31, 3 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Vulnicura Strings (Vulnicura: The Acoustic Version – Strings, Voice and Viola Organista Only)Vulnicura Strings – Aside from being more concise, it is also undoubtedly the common name. — Kawnhr (talk) 16:37, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is a contested technical request (permalink). ASUKITE 17:55, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The following was copied from WP:RM/TR:
  • I'm inclined to agree at least in terms of brevity (though I haven't checked the sources), pinging @Thomasamuse who moved it back in 2015 to see if they object. If so, an RM may be a better option. ASUKITE 17:10, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not objecting, but this should go to a full RM under WP:PCM. -Kj cheetham (talk) 17:28, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Agree, esp. after seeing the discussion on the talk page. Will open in a moment. ASUKITE 17:53, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. My searches suggest that the shorter version is indeed much more common in independent reliable sources than the longer one, and of course it's also preferable per WP:CONCISE. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 21:15, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
