Conservative slant[edit]

Like many of the Sinclair-owned stations, this channel's news has a bit of a conservative slant in its reporting. How can this be mentioned in a npov manner? Youngamerican 03:27, 29 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Concrete examples might work. The Sinclair Broadcast Group page says that Sinclair runs conservative editorial segments called "The Point" on all its stations; that it prepares pre-packaged news segments for all its stations to use; and that it prevented WCHS from airing Nightline's tribute to the troops killed in Iraq. Are these true for WCHS? (I grew up in the viewing area, but haven't seen its newscasts for years.) Malepheasant 06:30, 29 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • They sure did. The Mark Hyman editorials run on the news, they did not show the Nightline episode in question, and some of their recent reports have made Fox News Channel look like CNN. I'll try to scrounge up some citations. Youngamerican 13:10, 29 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Citation[edit]

I believe his statement: "There is overwhelming evidence that Glencairn/Cunningham is merely a shell corporation used by Sinclair to circumvent FCC ownership rules." probably requires citation or adjustment, perhaps at the beginning of the statement, i.e. "There have been many suggestions that..." or "Some have asserted that there is overwhelming..."Joemann —Preceding undated comment added 16:08, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
