Wadi Naqab[edit]

Sir, in my humble opinion, when the difficulty of the terrain requires the continued use of hands and feet, climbing or descending large rocks or cliffs, and frequent exposure, what is practiced is climbing, not hiking. The bouldering that is practiced in the Wadi Naqab, and which has already caused several fatal accidents, is a climbing modality, not a hiking practice. Most of the accidents that occur in the Wadi Naqab and other rocky wadis in the UAE are not the result of a hiking activity, but of a climbing activity, practiced by people who are not climbers. Which all may well be true, but Wikipedia works by adding referenced information that is sourced to verifiable reliable sources - see WP:RS and WP:OR. Just because you know - or believe - a thing to be true, doesn't mean it can be added to Wikipedia. A published source (magazine, newspaper, book, journal, paper) has to be found to substantiate the content. Best Alexandermcnabb (talk) 06:53, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
