Inscription[edit]

The inscription may allude to the work of Anglo-Welsh poet and artist David Jones, in its typography and, possibly, content. The typography is of a style with his 'painted inscriptions', and the Welsh, in translation, seems to have echoes of the poem A, a, a, Domine Deus (though it makes an opposing point). The similarity may be more or less co-incidental: perhaps the influence of Jones' inscriptions on Welsh calligraphy, and overlapping subject matter. Does anyone know of any appropriate references? MOS issue[edit]

In anticipation of a GA review, I thought I'd let you know that that articles use of {{cquote}} is incorrect. According to the Manual of Style and the template instructions, decorative cquotes are never to be used for block quotations. Please switch to using either <blockquote> or {{blockquote}}, making sure that quotations are least four lines in length or multiple paragraphs. Good luck, VanTucky 01:06, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GA Review[edit]

Unfortunately, this article is not eligable for GA promotion. The "Design and Construction History" section violates point 5 of the quick-fail criteria. Since it is currently under construction, the building has "current event" issues, and current information on the topic is considered unstable, subject to rapid changes. When the contstruction on the building is complete, and the {{Building under construction}} template can be removed, the article can be renominated. -Ed! (talk) 21:46, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The 2008 BBC Young Musician of the Year was held at the WMC between 10 May 2008 and 11 May 2008.[1] in celebration of thirty years of the competition broadcasting.[1] However, I cannot think where to put this information in the article, maybe a new "Major events" section? Reference via photo image in Wikimedia[edit]

Although Wikipedia is not to be used as a reference in another Wikipedia article, I believe using Wikimedia Commons is acceptable as it shows an image of the reference [50], which shows all the contractors in the project. Seth Whales (talk) 19:53, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well it depends on what it is being used for. It currently shows a board of company names, and is stated to have been taken on a particular day (in February 2009). It does not provide firm evidence that any or all of the contractors are still working on the project, e.g. one or more might have left the project and their name board has not yet been replaced; and it does not preclude that one or more different contractors were replaced by the contractor's whose names currently appear in the photo.Pyrotec (talk) 20:05, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Triggered by \bdesignbuild-network\.com\b on the local blacklist
