We need more detail![edit]

Hi guys just added some more general info mostly on current services, but theres a whole load of stuff that can still go in here, more detail on the old pubs, the old post office, the chapel which is now 3 seperate houses, local clubs, etc etc

I think we need some sort of structure to the page though..something similar to what i've done with the services bit.

At the moment whilst the intro is good and concise, the history section is just all over the place. Definately need some form of organisation there.

I live in the village so i'll see if i can get some decent pictures up to spice the page up a bit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Crackers250 (talkcontribs) 22:07, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • The "History" section is not "all over the place". Each paragraph is in chronological order and tells a different aspect of village history.
  • Simplicity is a virtue. An article about an English village is unlikely to benefit from layers of sub-sections and sub-headings.
  • As an encyclopaedia, Wikipedia does not need "spice". Neither is it a village website, nor a directory of local businesses.
  • I have now added brief descriptions of present and former pubs and the former chapel. A similarly concise account of the village post office would be welcome, but it must have inline citations to verifiable references!
  • Good photographs of significant local sights in the village would improve the article and be very welcome.
