GA Review[edit]

Article (edit | visual edit | history) · Article talk (edit | history) · Watch

Since i feel we ask too much of you David and don't do enough in return i will review this article for GAN. I should have the review up by the end of the day.

Comments[edit]

While many waterspouts form in the tropics, locations farther north within temperate zones also report waterspouts, such as Europe and the Great Lakes. - If i remember correctly there was one reported in New Zealand this year which means this sentence needs changing. In Fact BOM observed one in Sydney this year which isnt considered to be in the tropics. ASW

Ive jsut noticed that one of the references isnt done properly ie <ref name="">{{cite web|url=|title=|last=|first=|coauthors=|date=|work=|publisher=|pages=|language=|accessdate=}}</ref>

I've dealt with the latitude comment, which was not written from a global perspective, and smacked of Northern Hemisphere POV. Thegreatdr (talk) 13:54, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wierdly i just went on the [HKOs website] and found this press release which may or may not give you some extra details

I would like to see some more references in the Non-tornadic Formation and Life cycles sections - Im assuming in good faith that the references already there cover the details mentioned in the sections so i think its just a case of Refname="A" or whatever . I also realise you are getting V busy as we approach the NHEM peak for TCs during the next few weeks so im happy to keep this GA on hold untill you get chance to deal with my comments. :)Jason Rees (talk) 10:34, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I added a couple more references, as one additional one was needed anyhow. Where is the reference which does not have cite web format? Thegreatdr (talk) 15:59, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ref 2 is the one :) Jason Rees (talk) 19:07, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. It should be fixed. Anything else? Thegreatdr (talk) 03:27, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The only other thing i see wrong is that NOAA is either spelled out in the references or not have some consitency :) Anyway since that is not enough to delay the passing of this article GAN i am passing the GAN and will list it when i get home tonight (unless you want to do it in the mean time :)). Jason Rees (talk) 09:34, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That should be fixed now. Thegreatdr (talk) 13:54, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thats fine - i will list it as a GA when i get home unless you want to do it yourself
I'll let you do it. It would be improper for me to list it. Thegreatdr (talk) 14:00, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
