Syracuse/Geddes for New York State Fair[edit]

Under Tour Dates, it says that Selena's concert at the New York State Fair is in Geddes, NY. It is actually in Syracuse. Please stop changing it back to Geddes. I've been to the state fair for the past 2 years, I keep up to date with all the latest announcements, and I know that the fair is definitely in Syracuse. You can look at any official NYS Fair posting that has its location and I guarantee you it won't say Geddes.

These five link (link 1 link 2 link 3 link 4 link 5) all state the fair being located in "Geddes". Furthermore, the official website for the Great New York State Fair even says "The Town of Geddes, hometown of the New York State Fair, includes the Village of Solvay, and the hamlets of Westvale and Lakeland. link 6". A link to the official website of the "Great New York State Fair" has nothing to do with the Great New York State Fair that you are debating? A link discussing the owner of the "Great New York State Fair" has nothing to do with the Great New York State Fair that you are debating? A link showing events for the"Great New York State Fair" has nothing to do with the Great New York State Fair that you are debating? If the people who finance and operate the Fair say its in Geddes then the Fair is in Geddes. Their word is more valable then your opinion.Itsbydesign (talk) 10:33, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That's just it though! None of those links were written by people who operate or finance the fair! They're just articles written by regular people. I don't know why you keep saying this is my opinion, because its definitely not. I'm just trying to make this Wikipedia article more accurate. The NY State Fair's OFFICIAL website http://nysfair.org states the fair is in Syracuse, not Geddes. http://selenagomez.com/tour says her concert at the fair is in SYRACUSE, the 5th link you provided about the fair is SYRACUSE.com, also, if you go to any artist's tour page (either on their websites or on wikipedia)that had a stop at the New York State Fair, it will say Syracuse! no Geddes. Again, you are expressing your opinion. It's located in Geddes. If you have any dispute over this matter, your place is not to create issue here. You can contact the Dan O'Hara, Director of the NYSF or a staff member of the Department of Markets and Fairs in Albany, NY. Your edits will continue to be reverted. Enjoy your life. I provided a few reliable links and I pointed out that you're the only one that states the fair is in Geddes on Wikipedia! Every other page has it listed as Syracuse! It's a LOT against one.
