Thunder Stone comparison?[edit]

What about the Thunder Stone? That article states that the Thunder Stone, the base of the Bronze Horseman statue in St. Petersburg weighs about 1500 tons, which is much larger than the Western Stone. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.171.64.176 (talk) 03:19, 28 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Composition & provenance[edit]

The lack of information regarding the composition of the stone (rock type, mineralogy, etc) and discussion of possible provenance is problematic in this article. Likewise there is no mention of the geology of the Temple Mount. Could this stone have been carved in situ? Regardless of the depth of the stone it is a large "object", but maybe it was not moved at all or significantly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.254.202.238 (talk) 15:43, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
