Would it be fair to consider Weyoun a sycophant? --talk to me crimes against humanity02:24, 9 May 2006 (UTC) [reply]

Well, the Vorta -are- bred and conditioned to serve the Founders and their allies without question. (Perhaps except the Cardassians which both the Founders and the Vorta saw as poor allies and perfectly expendable) 85.19.140.9 11:35, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Combs favorite character[edit]

A fact tag was placed for the notation that Weyoun was Jeffrey Combs' favorite Trek role. I want to say that this comes from a video interview at StarTrek.com but I don't have time to rewatch it now. Maybe later; I'm noting it here in case someone else watches it and confirms before I am able to. -- Hawaiian717 00:50, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I posted the tag; I'll look at the videos and let y'all know what I spot. --EEMeltonIV 00:59, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The link above is broken but the interview was reposted on Youtube where he does indeed say that Weyoun was his favorite character. [1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.200.143.18 (talk) 13:18, 5 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
An article at StarTrek.com says "Weyoun is Combs’ own pick for his favorite performance in all of Trek" "Every 'Star Trek' Character Played By Jeffrey Combs, Ranked". StarTrek.com. and even though the video they link to is also dead that should be a good enough source.
The same article makes another an interesting claim: "When Combs portrayed both Weyoun and Brunt in the episode “Dogs of War,” he became the first Trek actor to portray two different, completely unrelated recurring characters in the same episode." -- 109.77.204.50 (talk) 11:16, 15 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Appearances?[edit]

All the other important secondary characters have appearance listings. Why not Weyoun? - Darkhawk

IPA[edit]

How is the name pronounced? Someone add an IPA, please.

[WAY-OON] would do as a decent interim phonetic description.--24.190.71.206 (talk) 11:21, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect?[edit]

Is there a reason all show characters not having significant cross-references (i.e. notable cultural or artistic impact) don't redirect to a single summarizing page? For e.g. Minor Star Trek DS9 Characters. It feels like that would be preferable from an organizational standpoint and also the change'd be worth it just by saving the overhead, I don't want my $50 annual donation going for .... stuff, like that doesn't have to be. I know how volunteerism works, but again... time better spent... I just realized, nobody but NOBODY's gonna be reading the talk section of the Weyoun page. Nooooo! 24.190.116.247 (talk) 17:57, 17 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

Ping User:Jclemens: anything you can find to warrant keeping this? As written, it seems like a clear failure of notability, just an in-universe bio. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:57, 2 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted[edit]

Deleted with one delete vote? I would say it should of been at least redirected as this is a well documented character. Starspotter (talk) 18:43, 8 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have undeleted the page history, with the consent of the closer, see Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Weyoun (2nd nomination). So in effect the close has belatedly been implemented as "redirect" rather than "delete". – Fayenatic London 20:52, 11 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot for this! I personally think a redirect is fine, but a lack of opinions made this seem very questionable. Starspotter (talk) 22:01, 15 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
