I have combined the table of pieces and individual pieces into one table. JTTyler 14:08, 10 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The coordinates printed with the board images do not correspond to the description, which says a1 is in the upper-right corner. They have a1 in the upper-left corner instead. Both is rather weird, for coordinates that start with a letter: normally these have a1 in the lower-left corner. It seems a very bad idea to introduce yet another system for indicating board squares, only to be used in Whale Shogi. H.G.Muller (talk) 20:07, 3 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Following your suggestion and what CVP does, I have changed them to standard letter-first coordinates, where a1 is in the lower left. Double sharp (talk) 15:08, 1 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
