Six-year-old boy abused on show[edit]

News media are currently reporting the treatment of "Jan-Jan", a six-year-old boy who sadly and tearfully performed lewd, gay "macho" dances on this show repeatedly, in response to urgings from Revillame.

These events are described and recorded in various online news reports, on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, where hundreds of thousands of viewers have seen the relevant clips. (In google news one can find reports by searching for Willing Willie and Jan-Jan).

Regrettably I don't have the time or skill to add to this article now, but I hope others will. Bernard Macdougall (talk) 03:56, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Wil Time Bigtime Logo.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion[edit]

An image used in this article, File:Wil Time Bigtime Logo.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?
Speedy deletions at commons tend to take longer than they do on Wikipedia, so there is no rush to respond. If you feel the deletion can be contested then please do so (commons:COM:SPEEDY has further information). Otherwise consider finding a replacement image before deletion occurs.

A further notification will be placed when/if the image is deleted. This notification is provided by a Bot, currently under trial --CommonsNotificationBot (talk) 02:26, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Twitter[edit]

I removed references to Twitter. Do not use SNSs as references. They are not considered WP:RS. No offense to the contributor, but information regarding Twitter feuds of the celebrities are trivial, useless even. This article needs weeding out of content like this. Article name change (move)[edit]

The name of the show is correct in the lead: Wil Time Bigtime. See TV5 main page. However, the article name is incorrect. I want to move it to the correct name. We can create a redirect for the old name. Unless someone objects, I will move it myself or request the move.--Bbb23 (talk) 14:31, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I do not object. Moray An Par (talk) 14:46, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
User:Active Banana moved it. Thanks!--Bbb23 (talk) 15:23, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wil Time Bigtime has no website, only twitter account[edit]

Any site claiming to be the official website of wil time bigtime, even wiltimebigtime.com is not recognized by the show, hence should be removed from the entry to avoid confusion as being the official site. The only site mentioned in the show is their twitter account @WilTimeBigTime5 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 111.68.59.72 (talk) 07:36, 1 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Looks official to me. Can you substantiate your assertion?--Bbb23 (talk) 23:20, 1 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
if you look closely at the image (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/51/Wiltimebigtime.jpg) on the page, it says "official fan page" its not an official show website. also, their first twitter account says they dont have an official website http://twitter.com/#!/wwtv5/status/55130413710057472 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 111.68.59.76 (talk) 09:06, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I also looked a little more at the registratant of the domain (someone in Houston) and the webmaster, who owns a blog. That's, I think, sufficient, without an About on the website that states otherwise. I'll remove it.--Bbb23 (talk) 22:42, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Suggested move[edit]

The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: page not moved. This request has been somewhat overtaken by events as an article on Wowowillie now occupies that title. Malcolmxl5 (talk) 18:48, 7 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wil Time BigtimeWowowillie – The show will move to the noontime slot under the new name. Same treatment should be applied as when the show was initially retitled from Willing Willie to Wiltime Bigtime (sic). See Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines/Archive28#WilTime_BigTime Relisted. Survey[edit]

Feel free to state your position on the renaming proposal by beginning a new line in this section with *'''Support''' or *'''Oppose''', then sign your comment with ~~~~. Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, please explain your reasons, taking into account Wikipedia's policy on article titles.
  • Not sure. It depends on who would Willie's co-hosts would be, and if the games would be different. If it's predominantly the same, it's a weak support for a move. If it's different, it can be argued to be a different show. This isn't Showtime becoming It's Showtime when it transferred from 11:00 am to 12:00 nn and now somewhere around 12:30 pm. It also seemed Willie's implying this is a clear break from the old Wil Time Bigtime/Willing Willie, which was renamed just to skirt over the MTRCB suspension but miserably failed. A quite similar situation was Sa Linggo nAPO Sila and 'Sang Linggo nAPO Sila.
In the current reasoning, since Willie was behind Wowowee, and presumably the people behind Wowowee were the same people behind Willie's TV5 shows (although ABS-CBN retained copyright, and they also had substantial inputs), then, as per the situation in Eat Bulaga, Wowowee, Willing WIllie and Wil Time Bigtime should redirect/merged to Wowowille. What happens if Willie quits and returns with a new show 5 years from now? We'd redirect all of the iterations of the old shows to whatever title of his hypothetical future show? –HTD 15:08, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
