Ground in C Minor[edit]
I wanted to make a note in the article that musicologists now believe that the famous piece "Ground in C Minor" often attributed to Purcell was actually composed and published by W. Croft, but I could not find sources online. Help?
- Have a read through the comments here for some ideas and theories. There are many opinions as to the attribution, however without the support of a reliable source WP should not be publishing opinions. Of course, that hasn't stopped the editors in this WP article (and I added the "citation needed" tag there). I think there may be some information in the Early Music article: "Early Music – Thurston Dart clavichord recordings" (PDF)., however you need a subscription to read it in entirety.
