Does anyone else have any anecdotes from Maori oral history about WG Puckey? I would be very interested to learn more about how he was perceived by Maori from the evidence that can be adduced from the tone of such stories. I have a feeling that he was as bad as the other Missionaries in terms of being quite 'Evangelical', but believe there is evidence that he had possibly more rapport, and respect for the strengths of Maori Culture than some of his brethren.Granthod (talk) 10:22, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
