In Macbeth, Shakespeare witches' prophecy that "...none of woman born/ Shall harm Macbeth" Macduff, however, was "from his mother's womb/ Untimely ripped," thereby not naturally "born of woman" (V.vii). Subsequently Macduff was the only person able to destroy Macbeth, which he did in battle.. Perhaps your edit was a bit over zealous. El Mirage (talk) 02:13, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
