Almost certainly dead[edit]

He appeared in the 1985 Who's Who in Australia, with the birthdate 4 September 1914. He did not appear in the 1988 edition. Removal of names normally only happens when a subject dies. That suggests he died in the period 1985-88. He would be 94 now if he were still alive.
