Sub Pop response to album leak[edit]

From the November 25, 2006 issue of Billboard in an article about indie labels dealing with album leaks ("The Safety Dance" by Katie Hasty):

Sure to be one of the biggest indie releases of 2007, "Wincing" was sent to 1,050 journalists and retail employees as a watermarked advance, a first for the label. But 2 1/2 weeks after servicing, the album infiltrated peer-to-peer networks.

"This leak is such a small part of the whole machine, but dealing with a record we hope will sell a lot of, we have to be able to count on every asset," Sub Pop A&R/manufacturing manager Stuart Meyer says. The label was able to hunt down the leaker, who was "cut off [from promo lists] and admonished," but the damage was already done.

Description[edit]

This section sounds a bit too opinionated and almost review-like for an encyclopedia. Maybe editing or deletion is needed? Sperac01 04:56, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Then edit or prod it. ReverendG 00:28, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Backing Vocalist[edit]

I heard there is a girl who does backing vocals on some of the trracks and she appeared live with them does anyone know nething about this? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Moo Cow 10 (talkcontribs).

Split Or Spilt?[edit]

On attempting to search for track 9 on iTunes I discovered that the track was called Split Needles, not Spilt Needles.

Can anyone with a hard copy of the album change this, for I am not sure 88.106.185.97 16:06, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
