Merge?[edit]

The information in this article repeats what is in the author's biography. Why is this article needed? Should it be merged with the author's bio? Skywriter (talk) 10:20, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

While I agree with Phil Bridger that this article is not promotional or CSD-worthy, I also agree with Pahlevun that the book is unlikely to be notable. When this was prodded in September, I looked for sources and wasn't able to find any more substantial coverage than the quite brief mentions added to the article by In ictu oculi, so I redirected it to the author's article. I'm still of the opinion that such a redirect is the best option, but perhaps we can arrive at a consensus here? – Arms & Hearts (talk) 22:38, 22 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It seems to be the main book he has written, and there's a paucity of Iranian political books with articles - in fact I couldn't find another at the time. Simply for reasons of scarcity I'd like to see the stub expanded. But we do also have All the Shah's Men, The Golden Cage (book), History of the Iranian Constitutional Revolution, Iran Awakening, Iran Historical Sovereignty over the Tunbs and BuMusa Islands and Then They Came for Me............ so maybe in this field?... @Arms & Hearts: I think it is a good idea to redirect it. @In ictu oculi: If you ask my opinion on the books mentioned above, I'd say except for History of the Iranian Constitutional Revolution (which is the most famous primary source about the subject and widely discussed in the Western academia, thus absolutely notable), the rest are unable to meet Wikipedia:Notability (books) criteria 2-3-4-5. The only chance for the articles to stay is to meet the first criteria, and to find at-least two non-trivial reviews. Seems like only All the Shah's Men and Then They Came for Me have it.
