knebworth date[edit]

hi, almost sure the plnk floyd knebworth concert with the stated back up card was the year 1972. (talk) 21:20, 19 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

name of tour??[edit]

was the 1975 tour actually called the Wish You Were Here tour at the time? or is this a retroactive naming? the album would not come out for another six months, and although they did perform Shine On and Cigar as part of the setlist, they did not ever perform the title track (or Machine) live until 1977

here is a scan of the tour program from that tour, I don't think the words Wish You Were Here are used anywhere in the official program

is there some other documentation that does show the words Wish You Were Here associated with this tour from the time? otherwise I suggest this is one of those "citation needed" type things, because I don't believe it

everything I've ever read indicates the 1975 concerts were actually the third straight year of their Dark Side of the Moon tour

Pink Floyd tours are complicated. Some people say tour to something that is listed as leg in Wikipedia so maybe that is the case. I don't think that they actually gave names to their tours and just named them 1970 American tour or 1974 French tour for example. But it would be nice if they had given names to tours. Also it don't makes sense to name it Wish You Were Here tour because only one Wish You Were Here song was played. And at this moment they had already finished the concept for the album. Even on the (the official Pink Floyd Site) the Tour is listed as 1975 North American Tour. Minecalpe (talk) 15:59, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
