"Hipster Metal"?[edit]

Uh...WTF is "Hipster Metal"?!! That seems like a contradiction in terms...looking at current mainstream music, actual Metal seems to be considered anything *but* hip. If this was "hipster" anything, wouldn't it be getting radio play? I certainly haven't heard it on any radio station...it was pure luck I even managed to hear them in the first place (some guy in a record store recommended them to me & a friend). I've got this CD and it sounds pretty much like old-fashioned Heavy Metal, almost Proto-Metal, Black Sabbath-ish stuff. 67.62.112.215 20:26, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Stoner Metal"[edit]

I'm editing the classification as stoner metal. The band's official page at Tee Pee Records explicitly says "On their eponymous debut album, this line-up mounts a mighty sonic tumult that harkens back to classic heavy metal sound of early 70's outfits while still sounding modern in it's assault (and without falling into the ubiquitous "Stoner Rock" pigeonhole)." I don't think Stoner Metal is what fits the best to Witch. Witch is cassified as Doom Metal here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_doom_metal_bands . Therefore i'm inclined to call it that. If someone disagrees, please respond to this. --86.205.14.154 15:28, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Review suggestion[edit]

As an editor at Crawdaddy!, and to comply with COI guidelines, I am not posting the link to this review. However, I would like to recommend it on its merits, and hope that an editor will find the time to examine the review and—if he or she sees fit—post it as an external link, or, if/when a Paralyzed page is created, to the professional reviews section. I appreciate your time. Crawdaddy (mixed) 2008

definately agree, stoner metal[edit]

Or just stoner rock even, and make mention that they're 'heavy'. They don't really fit the archetype of what is meant by a doom metal band —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.100.220.226 (talk) 03:54, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
