i just wanna say that the world premiere for this video was not on trl, because today is 2/8 and i saw this video in mtv latinamerica two days ago, 2/5

Remixes[edit]

The only official remix out there right now is the Richard Vission Mix Show Edit. The Sam998899 Hip Hop Remixes are fan made and are not official. Also, Joe Bermudez HAS not remixed With Love so whoever put that there was a single with the Bermudez Remixes was bluffing. The only single right now is the radio promo which I have and therefore posted. Thanks.

The TRL countdown is not an official chart[edit]

The Total Request Live video countdown is not an official record chart, so it should not be listed in the "Charts" section in the article or infobox. It's not as if I've removed the mention of TRL entirely; the "Music video and remixes" mentions what position it reached. Please read Wikipedia:Record charts for more information. Was the second U.S. single from the album, not the first[edit]

I have noticed at least two editors on this article, the Play with Fire (song) article and the Dignity (album) article are under the mistaken impression that "Play with Fire" was some kind of promo-only release or "sneak peek" or "teaser" for the album, which makes "With Love" the "official" first single from the album. It isn't. Promotional singles do not have music videos premiered and put into rotation on major video programs, a release on download stores such as iTunes and a mainstream radio release; if it was a "teaser", it would have likely only been issued as a download, if that. "Play with Fire" was released to radio and video outlets in the U.S. in August 2006, after which the album was pushed back, the single hardly made any chart impact and "With Love" became the first single in most countries. Never at any point did "Play with Fire" somehow go from a widely released single to a promo/"teaser" release. Duff herself said on Total Request Live (August 15 2006) that "Play with Fire" was the first single from the album.

Odd, really; I thought we wouldn't again have to undo rewriting of Duff history after dealing with the overwhelming number of fans who seemed to think Santa Claus Lane isn't a Duff album. Extraordinary Machine 22:23, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually Duff herself believes that With Love is the true first single from "Dignity" because she said this on the interview named "At Home with Hilary Duff" which is on the DVD on the Dignity Deluxe Edition. However "Play With Fire" technically is the first single since it is on the album and was supposed to be released for the album which was supposed to be out November. 13:19, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

Charts[edit]

Although I think it's great that all the chart info is sourced, I believe WP:CHARTS has a lot to say about the number of charts. Simply put, it's getting to the point where it's just merely listing "an indiscriminate collection of information". Can someone more familiar with the article edit the chart info down to a select few? SKS2K6 05:42, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I THINK IT IS MUCH BETTER TO PUT EVERY SINGLE DETAIL ABOUT THIS SINGLE BECAUSE IT SHOWS THE INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS THE SINGLE HAS BEEN..IF YOU SEE OTHER ARTISTS DISCOGRAPHY THEY PUT IN EVERY DETAIL.. HELLO..THIS IS CALLED WIKIPEDIA..ONLINE DICTIONARY..HENCE U NEED TO PUT IN EVERYTHING ABOUT IT.... THANKS —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 61.6.202.35 (talkcontribs) 06:31, 18 August 2007.

Please do not write using all caps, because it sends the impression that you are shouting. That other articles contain similarly indiscriminate chart information does not mean this one should. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a dictionary — but, your claim to the contrary, neither dictionaries nor encyclopedias are meant to include all information on a certain topic.
