A note on British English[edit]

British English should be used for articles on Britain related topics. Likewise, American English should be used on articles pertaining to American topics. For a clearer example, please visit this sub-section on the differences between their usage. --Siva1979Talk to me 02:26, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fan of the year award[edit]

I accept that the fan of the year award was not a club honour, but is it not better noted elsewhere on the page than completely removed? It is intrisically to do with the club and the viral video which went onto to be featured on the bbc is major exposure for the club beyond what they have otherwise seen (at least recently). I saw the video on the bbc having never heard of Witham town FC beforehand and was surprised to see no mention of it on the Wikipedia page, hence making the addition. If this is not the best place to note this information, where should it be noted? I’m a new editor but it seems backwards to totally remove any remotely noteworthy information from an encyclopaedia. Wikipedia is not about recording "any remotely noteworthy information" it is about recording notable facts that can be verified by multiple independent sources. The recent addition is in the realms of trivia which isn't what Wikipedia is about. Perhaps a mention on the club's website would be more appropriate ?  Velella  Velella Talk   00:51, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
