Article addition suggestion[edit]

For those of us who have been in Scouting, we know what a woggle is and how it is used. For those who have not been, it is good this page has a couple of photos of woggles. I suggest it would be improved if someone adds a full-chest photo which shows a woggle on a scarf. (I don't have the resources to do so.) Andrew8 08:16, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Citation Needed[edit]

There are no citations for this article; can anyone contribute?Mavigogun (talk) 05:39, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Scouting uniform is itself a category within Category:Scouting. — Robert Greer (talk) 02:39, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite[edit]

I have added information where known and several citations to the references. Sources differ on the age of the term boon doggle. An image of a woggle on a scarf would be useful, a selection of modern woggles (international if possible) and more on the significance of the Gilwell Woggle. External links[edit]

The only current external link is completely inappropriate and shouldn't be here. It's a link to a private company and is in no way official and is not notable in any way — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.12.89.88 (talk) 21:07, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • It has a large sample of neckerchief slides. It is appropriate. --evrik (talk) 21:58, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Nope. It's not suitable to include an unofficial, not notable retail site to this article. Please stop adding it — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.12.89.88 (talk) 12:36, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Is there a policy you would like to cite? --evrik (talk) 16:43, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Is this reference correct?[edit]

I have filled out two references in this article with links to the actual archived page images in Scouting for April 1917 and August 1923.

There is also a reference to page 62 in the October 1923 magazine:

{{cite magazine |title = Unknown |magazine=Scouting Magazine |date=October 1923 |page = 62 | url = https://scoutingmagazine.org/backissues}}

I cannot find this issue in the archives, and am wondering whether the page number (62) can possibly be correct. In 1923, the June, July, August, September, November and December magazines all had 8 pages each, so 62 seems out of keeping with this. Might this be a typo? — Hebrides (talk) 14:43, 15 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
