pronunciation[edit]

I know I'm a geek, but I'd be interested in a blurb about the pronunciation. I live nearby, and grew up hearing it pronounced "WORMelsdorf." Given this area's German roots, that makes me wonder if the original name had been "Wömelsdorf" or "Woemelsdorf"...or if 'worm' is just a local quirk, like Lebnin and Lankister.
