Comments about deletion[edit]

I object to the deletion of the article about The Woods Theatre, for three reasons. First, the theatre was a significant part of Chicago's culture for many years, and is well-remembered by many. Second, the demolition of the theatre was part of a controversial movement to demolish old theatres and structures in the Loop, which is still topical considering the current controvery of Block 37 (The Roosevelt and the United Artists theatres were once on this spot, which has been undeveloped for nearly 20 years). Third, by posting the article as a stub, it is my hope that others will come forward to expand the article. Furthermore, I feel there is enough information to justify leaving the article as it stands. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thegrip229 (talkcontribs) 20:15, 16 October 2006‎
