Wasn't the World's Finest Team originally just a reference to the Superman/Batman team-ups?Khajidha (talk) 00:27, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article almost completely non-factual[edit]

I'm afraid that this entire article is based upon an assumption that is simply untrue.

While it is true that WORLD'S FINEST COMICS became a Dollar Comic with #244, and that all of the heroes named were appearing in the comic from that point forward, they only appeared together, as a team, in issue #250. They were not considered to be a team in every issue, and in fact, appeared in separate stories for most of the run. Superman and Batman teamed up every issue, yes, and it would be more accurate to call them the World's Finest Team...but that monthly pairing began back in WFC #71, and apart from a brief period in the early 1970s where Superman had other partners, continued unabated for the entirety of the WFC run from #71 to the very end.

Green Arrow and Black Canary also often worked together during this period, but not always; and the Earth-2 Wonder Woman usually appeared solo, in stories that were set during World War II. Further, the other "occasional" members listed...the Vigilante and the Creeper...never worked with any of the other heroes at all during their WFC runs, and only ever appeared in their own solo stories.

What this means is that the article as it appears here is almost completely false, and again, is based on a misperception.

Additionally, many of the links that appear with the names of the villains do not actually link to any pages that refer to DC Comics villains by that name. The link to the Falcon brings you to the page for Marvel's super-hero of that name, who often works with Captain America, while the Iron Claw link brings you to a disambiguation page that doesn't even list the DC Comics/Wonder Woman villain...or in fact, any comics characters at all.

My recommendation would be to either severely edit the article so that it only references the events of WFC #250, the one place where all of the named team members actually worked together, or to remove the article entirely.
