Finland before 1918[edit]

Even if Finland was formally a part of the Russian Empire until the revolution, it is customary to consider it a state of it's own. This was also the case at the time -- in contemporary results list Finns are listed as Finns. I think also athletes from Hungary, Bohemia (Czechy) and other parts of the Austrian Empire were listed as Hungarians, Czechs (Bohemians) etc.

1904[edit]

There should be a footnote telling that the championship of 1904 was won by Peter Sinnerud, who was later disqualified on a rather dubious indictment of professionalism (the question being raised due to rivalling between Norwegian clubs). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.212.8.166 (talk) 01:00, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No references[edit]

This article has no references. The ISU link is of no use because even after an exhaustive search I could not find any reference to these championships. I was tempted to slap a {{notability}} tag on this article because I couldn't find anything relevant on the web. But I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. Mismatch between the list and the map[edit]

According to the map of medal winning countries, Austria's best result is a bronze. However, the list says a silver was achieved in 1938. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.246.38.199 (talk) 12:52, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
