Beach sprint (rowing)[edit]

Is that the same sport as "coastal rowing" ([1]) or a discipline of sport coastal rowing? Setenzatsu.2 (talk) 12:31, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There are various forms of coastal rowing in different parts of the world, as described at Coastal and offshore rowing. You gave a link to the international federation's page at https://worldrowing.com/events/coastal-events/, and towards the foot of that page it explains that in World Rowing competition, there are two formats of coastal rowing competition, the World Rowing Coastal Championships over a course of between 4 and 6 km, and the World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals out and back on a 250m course. It is the latter format which will be included in the World Beach Games. The inclusion for 2023 was announced at https://worldrowing.com/2022/08/04/beach-sprints-added-to-the-2023-world-beach-games-in-bali/. - David Biddulph (talk) 12:53, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
