Did You Know
A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on October 5, 2008.
The text of the entry was: Did you know ... that, during the 1994 Major League Baseball strike, umpire Larry Young refereed a match at WrestleMania XI?

Unsourced[edit]

I rm *Many fans consider WrestleMania XI to be one of the worst WrestleManias of all time. They also consider the Bigelow/Taylor match the worst main event in WrestleMania history. Unsourced; supported only by one ext site's author's personal opinion.

In general I find much of what is said in this article to be on shaky ground, especially in the Trivia section. I'm leaning toward a {{cleanup}} tag here. John Reid 02:25, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

From what i've seen on message boards, most people do agree that WM XI was one of the worst WM PPV's. Also, who can argue that Bam Bam Bigelow/Lawrence Taylor was the WORST WrestleMania main event? No wonder 1995 was a horrible year for WWF/WWE. TJ Spyke 03:33, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What does the trivia about Undertaker mean? I think it should be reworded. 24.154.173.50 18:29, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The finish of the Bigelow/Taylor match is incorrect. Taylor pinned Bam Bam after a stiff forearm from the second rope. HDC7777 20:01, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Um, no. I have watched it, and it was a shoulder tackle. TJ Spyke 23:04, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's definately a forearm to the jaw. Taylor landed two stiff shots, climbed the buckle and then landed a flying forearm from the second rope. Go to http://www.accelerator3359.com/Wrestling/bios/bambam.html which says the exact same thing. And that is a Bam Bam Bigelow bio site. HDC7777 12:52, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Please rent or buy the WM XI DVD and watch it, and you will see what is correct. TJ Spyke 00:37, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I own the DVD, and having been a worker for the last ten years, I can tell the difference between a forearm shot and a shoulderblock. Watch his arm coil and then lash out as he leaps off the second-rope. HDC7777 12:46, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I (also a worker, admittedly a very minor one) watched this match last night to see. Its definatly a forearm shot. The evidence for it being a forearm is people who have viewed it and a bio site of Bam Bam Bigalow. The evidence for it being a shoulder block is only someone who viewed it. If no actual verifiable evidence is brought then it should be changed. darkie17:12, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hartford[edit]

I don't have a source for this, but I remember reading some time ago that the reason why Hartford, CT was chosen as the sight is because Linda McMahon wanted to have a Wrestlemania in their own backyard of Connecticut. Can anyone else verify this? THX-1138 04:12, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

411mania[edit]

Is not just a invalid source but also not needed as we have one opinion apiece on whether this ppv sucks so im gonna put it to a vote. I vote REMOVE it.LifeStroke420 (talk) 04:18, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

We can have a discussion, but voting should be avoided (see WP:VOTING). Why do you think it is a invalid source? As for negative reviews, this event is one of the more poorly received WrestleMania's and there is nothing that says we have to have an equal number of positive and negative reviews. If it really matters to you, why not try and find another positive review? TJ Spyke 04:23, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Because I dont understand why we need TWO of the same opinion one justifies the point i think . Its up to a vote like or lump it.LifeStroke420 (talk) 04:29, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
