Line status[edit]

The reference added in this edit says nothing about passenger services between Wymondham Abbey railway station and Wymondham railway station. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 20:21, 6 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The operational (open / closed) status of a railway line does not depend on passenger use, regardless of the opinion of individual editors. If a railway line is in use, it is open. If it is not in use it is either closed or mothballed. This line is in use. The opinion of other editors does not have bearing on that fact. Any further claim that the line is "closed" will require a reference to that effect, as per standard Wikipedia policy - just as the challenging editor demands for any facts that he contests.Neith-Nabu (talk) 20:27, 6 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Redrose64: - I'm going to side with Neith-Nabu in part on this one. The line between Wymondham and Wymondham Abbey is open to traffic. That said, there is no passenger service between the two stations. Maybe the routebox can be amended to state this? Mjroots (talk) 20:11, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I think that that is a very clear, common sense, adaption that would resolve the issue. Neith-Nabu (talk) 08:09, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
As there have been no objections in a week, I'm changing the routeboxes. Mjroots (talk) 19:04, 15 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
