What is wrong with that?[edit]

I always just see people use lame lies or fake arguments like “it’s bad, because it’s bad”, but I have yet to see a single argument for why it is supposed to be wrong. How about someone with an actual brain and ability to form proper logical arguments creating one? And if not, STFU. Shit, I hate retarded people. — 88.77.157.184 (talk) 16:13, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I presume it's because XLFDs are more X-specific, and outdated compared to newer standards like Fontconfig. They're also, at least imo, and in the opinion of the Wayland (protocol) developers, not something that should be handled by the display server. Generally, many things X does nowadays (including its architecture) are inferior to that of newer protocols.
Having decades of cruft also doesn't help for XLFDs. Orowith2os (talk) 19:00, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

he is right, bring some arguments! --195.16.230.154 (talk) 11:55, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. The quote of the Wayland author is out of context, and distorded. I dont see the point to use it here. bayo 03:02, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
