Title update[edit]

The title should be changed from Yamaha WX5 to Yamaha WX5/WX11/WX7. I tried but it seems that the title changes require special approval.

Interesting article[edit]

http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/jul98/articles/yamwx5.html A lot of this information could be used to improve the article. Kaleeyed (talk) 12:42, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction date[edit]

Anyone can confirm the introduction date of this device? Seemingly the WX11 was first, the WX7 dates from 1987 I read, and the WX5 controller dates from November 2005 if I'm correct??? According to the article I posted below, the WX5 has been in existence since 1998. Kaleeyed (talk) 12:43, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sophie Lee is credited as playing the WX11 on the 1991 CD "Love In" by The Freaked Out Flower Children (Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/release/4281005). I will note this anomaly in the article for someone to clean up when they have evidence to correct the release sequence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by HKL47 (talkcontribs) 06:22, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The MIDI Implementation Chart in the user manual is dated "10/3, 1988". So, this seems to also be the introduction date. --Ptram (talk) 21:11, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
