Question.[edit]

This dab of trivia, as written, seems not to signify: "Hamdan adheres to a Gluten-free diet.". I would think that celiac disease (American spelling) is significant because people can actually die from it. But if this is just a faddish eschewing of gluten, there's no significance. Do you plan to add that sentence to all bios of people who follow this fad and then correct each article every time that someone changes their mind?

Recent research has shown that people who "react" to gluten are probably reacting to mal-absorbed sugars within the grains - the fructans. The "FODMAP" diet was researched by Monash University, Australia, as a way to help treat IBS, irritable bowel syndrome and identify the mal-absorbed sugars that may be causing the symptoms.

Addendum - I'm curious - why did you capitalize "Gluten" in gluten-free diet? Thanks, Wordreader (talk) 00:52, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
