1923 Yatina citation for services to the town[edit]

My Grandfather was awarded a pocket watch by the South Australian town of Yatina in 1923. He was 23 years old. We are unsure of why he was awarded this citation. We understand it was for services to the town. We have just had the watch restored and would like to understand the history to it. The inscription says "Presented to Mr J.T. Sheridan as a token of esteem by his friends of Yatina 28.3.23. " Sherromelbourne (talk) 07:50, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
