Instrumentation discrepancy[edit]

The information section has a quote from Tony Asher about recording the piano, but the musicians section has no credit for piano but has one for harpsichord. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.63.114.228 (talk) 14:40, 21 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"A classically-trained musician"?[edit]

Who is this musician? Are we supposed to say oh, it must be true because a "classically-trained" musician said it? An actual name against the quote would be good. Domino42 08:19, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I found where it comes from... It is from the liner notes from Pet Sounds, the new 40th anniversary edition. It is probably in the reissue before that one too, but I only have the 40th anniv. one in front of me. The source itself says "a classically-trained musician", so there is no telling who it is. (It wasn't me who said it.) Feel free to take the quote out, it really adds nothing, and it's awkwardly phrased. Now, are you sure about Carl being on the lead with Brian? I'll have to give it another listen, but I haven't found anyone else saying that. MookieZ 03:52, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
