Yuming Compositions: FACES[edit]

While going through the Japanese wiki page, I found that Yuming Compositions: FACES is in the wrong section; it should be in the compilation section. It is not an album of original songs. Japanese Wikipedia describes it thus: "当時のカバーブームの中、音楽生活30周年を記念し、以前から要望の高かったセルフカバーを題材としたアルバムを企画、当時は大いに話題となった。 which translates roughly as "In the midst of the cover boom at the time, in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of beginning her music career, an album was planned with the theme of "self-cover", which was demanded long ago, and it became a hot topic at the time. Also, because of the performance of "Shangri-La II"(1), it was decided that it would be impossible to make a new album with new songs, and it was decided to release a "self-cover album" that contains songs that have already been made. This is one of the reasons. There was also a song written and composed by Karuho Kureta(2), who basically said that he would never sing it by himself. All the songs recorded were selected by Yuming. The first limited edition comes with a booklet that covers all discography and songs by Yumi Matsutoya."

I do not trust myself to move it. Perhaps someone else can move it.

(1) Shangri-La II was a tour by Yumi Matsutoya with the Russian Extraordinary Ice Circus.

(2) Specifically, track 5: "For Yourself, For Myself". ServeDotty (talk) 09:49, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
