Wealth[edit]

The article claims that Forbes has her down as being worth £210 million. This is a crazy amount of money, where did she get it from? You don't do that well from various presenting jobs on daytime TV. The only thing I could see that might account for it is that she set up a production company. Is Most Haunted etc really that successful? I think the figure is based on her and her husbands combined wealth. It's not an impossible figure - Most Haunted is popular in America and Yvettes production company make a US version of the show. She would have to have a lot of money behind her to launch Paranormal TV, that said the Forbes claim should be backed up with a quote Bleaney (talk) 00:07, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the following from the article:

Fielding's own position on the paranormal[edit]

Fielding has been very successful in attracting TV audiences with presentations of purported 'paranormal' phenomena, but is there any evidence, from interviews she has given or whatever, that she is herself a believer in the reality of such phenomena? This question seems to me to get to the heart of Fielding's character: is she doing all this for the money and taking advantage of the gullible in the process, or is she engaged in an honest quest to bring a scorned and neglected field of interest to public attention? ...and i'm surprised you haven't found any sources on Fielding's personal views on the paranormal... I think you'll find that Fielding often leaves her own view on the paranormal 'hanging in the air' in interviews... so it's very difficult for us to define on here. Thanks for your reply. I am primarily a reader rather than a writer of the encyclopaedia. I have neither the time nor the interest needed to find the relevant sources and do a proper job of improving the article. I am therefore providing feedback as a reader to anyone who may be interested in working on the article. I don't give my 'personal views' about Fielding's character, since I don't know enough about her beliefs to judge. I simply raise the question. The phrase 'personal views' in my section heading referred to her views, not mine. I've now changed the heading to avoid any confusion.
