Depending on what the economy does and how GM and Ford react, this WILL be the last manual these guys run in the heavy trucks. Manual transmissions have the potential to get completely phased out and this transmission is the best example of the beginning of this movement.--Dana60Cummins (talk) 16:42, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Transmission is not going to be phased out for CAFE reasons, as an automatic will never meets the efficiency and mileage capabilities of a manual, but instead, because of the increased costs of manufacturing two vehicle lines in which for one there are low sales of. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.113.248.129 (talk) 18:16, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
