Zorro was not Mexican[edit]

The original character of Zorro was not Mexican, but Spanish. Please stop putting incorrect information about it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.31.210.198 (talk) 13:42, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Title[edit]

The article was originally under Zorro (Philippine TV series). I moved it to Zorro (2009 TV series), on the basis of Zorro (1957 TV series) and Zorro (1990 TV series), the only other TV shows simply named Zorro . (See Zorro (TV series), a disambiguation page.) As I said in the edit history:

Changing "Philippine" to year of broadcast, per other Zorro TV series. (I meant the 1957 and 1990 ones - I should've made this clearer.)

User:XBOXaddict moved the page to Zorro (2009 Philippine TV series) and explained this move thus:

Every filipino remake of other countries should be named "Philippine TV series". It could be named "TV series", if it is a remake of a local film. It could be named "YEAR TV series)

I would contest this. As there are no other TV series called Zorro released this year, there is no risk of confusion.

The current page name is Zorro (Philippines TV series). Since Philippine is the adjective derived from Philippines this looks wrong to me. But this may be the actual Wiki-naming convention regarding country disambiguation, I dunno. But, as I said, it's the only 2009 series named Zorro so mentioning the country of origin is unnecessary.

In short, Zorro (2009 TV series) is correct. Uthanc (talk) 16:33, 30 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm mistaken, see Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines#TV remakes/reimaginings. Uthanc (talk) 15:59, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
