Article is new enough, promoted to GA on April 19, and long enough at 21,632 characters. It is in policy being neutral, stable, well-cited to online sources and provides comprehensive coverage of the subject. No obvious copyvio or close paraphrasing. I'd go with the original hook which I found interesting and which is properly formatted and cited immediately to an online source which verifies the statement. QPQ done.
