Chester County Courthouse (Pennsylvania)[edit]

The Chester County Courthouse of West Chester, Pennsylvania in January 2006

  • ... that in 1892, the new courtroom in the Chester County Courthouse (pictured) was used while it was under construction due to the number of cases?
  • Reviewed: Cebongan Prison raid
  • Comment: The article is still undergoing expansion at the time of this nomination; also, note that there's another West Chester DYK nom up at the moment here; these should be on different queues, preferrably not on the same day.

5x expanded by Sonoma's bridge (talk). Self nom at 13:19, 17 April 2013 (UTC).

  • Properly expanded and within policy, but I nevertheless have some issues:
  • The hook looks good, but is not directly cited. That needs to happen.
  • Please move all the stuff about Freethought Society v. Chester County to its own section.
  • Regarding ref 1: you can't cite an about page. We need a direct quotation leading back to specific page where the information is given.
  • Regarding ref 2: please also cite the page numbers. Having to sift through 25 pages is not a fun excercise for a reader of this encyclopedia.
  • Regarding ref 3: since this (albeit short) PDF doesn't have its text indexed and is therefore non-searchable, page indication may be very useful here
  • That's it. Please work with these concerns.—♦♦ AMBER(ЯʘCK) 21:13, 5 May 2013 (UTC)
  • Re ref 1: it's raw data. All other issues fixed.A thrush (talk) 19:20, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
  • Thanks for taking a look at all but the first issue! I'm afraid I must insist though. Citing only an about page is not enough. Could you include some instructions in the reference on how you can obtain the data from the page you entered?—♦♦ AMBER(ЯʘCK) 20:46, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
  • The cite for the hook says only "not yet fully completed" which is a long way short of "under construction". It could mean anything from the ladies restroom still needs painting to the roof is missing. Further, the cited source does not verify that cases were heard with the building in this state because of pressure of caseload. "Not yet fully completed" is part of a quote from the first user and the source does not otherwise discuss this statement or comment on its implications or meaning.
