Declan Costello

  • ALT3 ...that in 1955 Jackie Kennedy teased former love interest Declan Costello that a double date between them and their spouses almost broke up the Kennedys' marriage?

5x expanded by CeltBrowne (talk). Self-nominated at 00:33, 10 January 2022 (UTC).

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: None required.

Overall: Thank you, CeltBrowne, for this well-researched and comprehensive biography. Just two issues: (1) I think you may be exempt from QPQ, but please let us know if you have done 5 or more DYKs previously? (2) Multiple examples of plagiarism. Compare Dictionary of Irish Biography and Earwig. Please present the copied bits, in the article, as quotations with citations where possible, and rephrase the rest of the copied bits. I rephrased parts and quoted parts of the article. Some of the copied bits were from titles and such. SL93 (talk) 03:31, 25 January 2022 (UTC)\

  • Thank you, SL93. I have added quotation marks to the remaining bit of copyvio. I still don't know whether the creator is exempt from doing a QPQ, but since there has been no reply, I guess I must give benefit of doubt?
  • Good to go. All the hooks are OK, but my preference is for ALT3 because to the present generations Jackie Kennedy is probably more interesting as the wife of JFK than when single, which in turn makes Costello (as a potential embarrassment to JFK) more interesting. • Hi @Storye book:, sorry about the delay. I have only ever made one DYK nomination in the past. Thank you SL93 for fixing the article. CeltBrowne (talk) 22:06, 25 January 2022 (UTC)

To T:DYK/P1, with slight tweak to clarify that the date was in 1955, not the letter.  — Amakuru (talk) 13:48, 27 January 2022 (UTC)
