Dick Landy[edit]
- ... that in "Dandy Dick" Landy's last appearance in an NHRA final round, he lost to Grumpy Jenkins?

A new hook is needed here as the hook is inaccessible to those unfamiliar with American drag racing. Like who is Dick Landy? Who is Grump Jenkins? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 13:19, 28 September 2018 (UTC)
- It may be too narrow a subject; the appeal is really between generations of racing fans...& the hook alone can't accommodate enough information to fix that. Better to withdraw it. TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 03:01, 29 September 2018 (UTC)

- There might be, but unless you know who Chrisman is, or what A/FX is, you won't care. And, I notice (nominating before I noticed the character count...), it fails as too short, anyhow. :( TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 20:13, 29 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Trekphiler: I suggest you try try installing this script, it allows you to check how many characters an article has. You can even use it while previewing a page, meaning that even before you save an edit, you can already have an idea of how long an article is. - Thx. I can't get scripts to run right in my system (it's pretty ancient), & I normally don't need a character count. (If I do, I can just copy-paste into my word processor, & it'll tell me.) TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 23:35, 29 September 2018 (UTC)
