Earnest Sevier Cox[edit]

Created/expanded by Maunus (talk). Self nominated at 00:41, 18 October 2014 (UTC).

  • There was a recent substantial expansion of this article (long a stub) that meets the DYK criteria. The article was nominated on the last day of the expansion phase by the editor who added most of the sources. So it is both new enough and long enough at "12 kB (1932 words) 'readable prose size'". It is well within policy, as I have several of the sources in my office, and I can check directly that the sources are cited fairly and that the article adheres to neutral point of view and other core Wikipedia policies. The hook is short and very interesting--it surprised me and caught my eye--and it is thoroughly sourced. I am reviewing this DYK submission as a volunteer (I am not the nominator). I have previously reviewed the article Liu Zihou. The use rationale for the photograph of the article subject (who has been dead for almost fifty years) lists in detail the probable copyright status and source of the photo, and lays out an accepted fair use rationale. I think this is ready for approval; I'm not showing approval myself only because I am still new to DYK volunteering. -- WeijiBaikeBianji (talk, how I edit) 23:44, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
