Lai Ning[edit]
- ... that 14-year old Lai Ning died fighting a forest fire in China in 1988 and was subsequently declared a revolutionary martyr? Source: "By November, Lai had been named a 'revolutionary martyr', and in June 1989, a national 'Learn from Lai Ning'-campaign was set up" [1]

- The article is new enough (created 11 September), long enough (46 chars over minimum), relatively neutral; but I'm not sure about terms such as 'snitch,' personally. It is sourced, but, then, is chineseposters.net actually a relable source? So I will ask for a second opinion on that. The article does cite sources fully, plus inline citations, with no copyright issues; the hook is well within length (only InterCity characters), interesting, hook is cited through two sources (although one is the posters site again), it's neutral with no BLP implications. Article creator is QPQ exempt. On hold until the sourcing question is resolved:

- Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi The source is perhaps not ideal, but its content seems fine, and neutral. Here's an NYT article that says much the same, including his unpopularity in the classroom. NoGhost, you might want to add that as another source, although I think the article is mostly fine ("citation needed" tag should be addressed though). --Usernameunique (talk) 14:18, 14 September 2017 (UTC)

- Great find with the NYT article, thanks Usernameunique. I've added the additional source as well as a couple more sentences sourced from the NYT article.
