Lometa Odom[edit]

Created by Krelnik (talk). Self-nominated at 02:32, 16 August 2018 (UTC).

  • Article is new and long enough, and no neutrality or verifiability concern. Close paraphrasing concerns with the following, which should be reworded: "She also played on teams that defeated the Iowa state champions in 1950 and 1951","... still hold school records for most wins in a season (37 in 1952-53), most consecutive wins (131 from 1953-58), best defensive average (29.4 points per game in 1954-55) and fewest losses (0 in 1953-54 and 1954-55)."[1], "Redin didn't think it was appropriate for the women to go on road trips without their husbands"[2] Hooks' lengths are all acceptable. ALT2 is slightly misleading, as Odom was not a part of all 131 wins; instead, her teams began the streak. QPQ confirmed.—Bagumba (talk) 10:17, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for keeping me honest, you're right those paraphrases weren't great. I've fixed all three, and I found & added two sources to the article to get the exact specifics on when the Dimmitt teams played Iowa. I also changed the wording on ALT2 to indicate that she was at the start of the winning streak. Cheers. --Krelnik (talk) 13:56, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
  • Issues resolved. I'm choosing the main hook as the most interesting.—Bagumba (talk) 16:36, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
