Maya ICBG bioprospecting controversy[edit]
- ... that the Maya International Cooperative Biodiversity Group led by Dr. Brent Berlin was designed in 1998 to meet the highest ethical standards in bioprospecting, but was nonetheless closed down in 2001 due to accusations of biopiracy?

- I don't know what you mean about tagging those that require subscriptions? I've never done that or seen it done before. Ah you mean the jstor ones? I am not going to tag those (also I don't know with what tag that would be) - that is completely standard practice to include as a simple reference - it is no different from a book source that you need to buy or request at your library. The link is just included as a help to locate the source, people of course will have to order it through the library as any other source. ·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 17:50, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
I'm simply too busy to explain in great detail or argue, so I did it for you. {{subscription required}} should be added to any reference where online material requires subscription. There's a similar template for simple registration. Come to think of it, that might be beyond the referencing requirements of DYK anyway. Good to go. – Muboshgu (talk) 16:53, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks, I think that requirement is for sources that are only available online - these are also available as paper sources. I've never used that template in any of the articles I have promoted nor been asked to use it, so I was a little surprised here. Thanks for doing it anyway.·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 16:58, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
