  • Comment: This ritual event occurs once in 19 years and will be attended by over 5 million devotees during the prescribed scheduled period, and the famous Rathayatra is part of the last stages of this event. Hence, when approved please post it on main space of DYK on 18 July 2015 which marks the Rathayatra.

5x expanded bySidsahu (talk) Nvvchar (talk). Self-nominated at 17:29, 29 June 2015 (UTC).

  • Last edit before current expansion by Shyamanuja 02:24, 15 June 2015 contained 2065 characters (351 words). 5x expansion would be 10325, current state is 12138 characters (2097 words), so is long enough. Article is fascinating! Thank you. Neutral, with in-line citations and no apparent close paraphrasing. Hook is 170 char is under maximum and verified in the cited source, but wording is awkward. Clearly 2015 is after 1996 and would be impossible before. Possibly "last held in 1996" or even "first 21st century occurrence of" would be better grammatically? QPQ completed.
