North Woods Hiawatha[edit]

Created by Mackensen (talk). Self nominated at 15:42, 11 August 2013 (UTC).

  • The article is new enough, long enough, and does not appear to have any copyright violations. QPQ done. AGF on offline source. The hook, however, seems a little confusing. The Twin Cities Hiawatha appears to be the first new passenger train with the Hiawatha brand, not the North Woods Hiawatha (1935 vs. 1936). The article mentions that the North Woods Hiawatha is the "first use of the Hiawatha branding outside the Chicago–Twin Cities service." Could the nominator please clarify the hook? Thanks! • The Twin Cities Hiawatha is just another term for the original (Chicago-Twin Cities) Hiawatha, to distinguish it from the North Woods and the other Hiawathas. What I was trying to convey is that the North Woods is the first use of the Hiawatha name outside the Twin Cities route. I agree that the phrasing is a bit awkward and I'll try to come up with something better. Mackensen (talk) 18:55, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
  • Expanded hook to clarify. Mackensen (talk) 19:20, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
  • That is clearer. Hook meets requirement and is verified by source. Looks good! MountainRail (talk) 20:27, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
